Board of Trustees

A. Call Meeting to Order
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm. Roll was called. President Mays led the Pledge of Allegiance.
B. Approval of Agenda
Trustee Lorenz made a motion "to approve the agenda"; seconded by Trustee Russell. The motion passed with six (6) "ayes"; zero (0) "nays".
C. Minutes of October 22, 2012 Regular Meeting
Following the review of the October 22, 2012 minutes a motion was made by Trustee Waltrip “to approve the minutes of October 22, 2012”; Trustee Carpenter seconded. The motion passed with six (6) “ayes”; zero (0) “nays”.
D. Citizens Comments
None
E. Moring Disposal Contract
Larry Moring reviewed the revisions to the Moring Disposal Contract with the Village Board. After brief discussion, Trustee Russell made a motion "to waive bid requirements for garbage disposal within the Village limits"; seconded by Trustee Waltrip. The motion passed with six (6) "yes"; zero (0) "no". Trustee Lorenz made a motion "to accept the Moring Disposal Contract with corrections"; seconded by Trustee Waltrip. The motion passed with six (6) "yes"; zero (0) "no".
F. Monthly Reports
Copies of the Bank Account Balances Report and Profit & Loss Report were distributed for review. Treasurer Fruin explained each report and answered any questions. With no further discussion, a motion was made by Trustee Carpenter “to approve the treasurer’s reports for October 2012”; seconded by Trustee Waltrip. Roll was called and passed with six (6) “yes”; zero (0) "no". Public Works Employee Michael Marks had overtime of 4 hours (2 hours OT for power failure and 2 hours for sewer backup). Trustee Russell made a motion "to approve 4 hours overtime for Public Works Employee Michael Marks"; seconded by Trustee Musso. The motion passed with six (6) "yes"; zero (0) "no". Trustee Carpenter presented the October Bills to the Board for approval. With no further discussion, a motion was made by Trustee Waltrip “to approve the October 2012 bills”; seconded by Trustee Lorenz. Roll was called and passed with six (6) “yes”; zero (0) “no”.
G. Unfinished Business
1) Public Works Superintendent Insko stated the boys were still working on sewer jetting and should be done in two or three days.

H. Ordinance / Resolution
None
I. Engineering
Village Engineer Steenken gave an update on the de-watering process at the new WWTP site. There has been no reply from Mr. Muscarello. Village Engineer Steenken was directed to proceed with the water & sewer main extension along the Village property.
J. New Business
1. Village Clerk Scott gave her updates to the Village Board.
2. Public Works Superintendent Insko talked about minor equipment failure at Wells 2 & 3. Pump needs to be replaced (cost approximately $300.00) and the heater in the chemical room has been cleaned but needs to be replaced (new heater ordered, approx. $800.00).
3. Public Works Superintendent Insko talked to the Village Board in regards to a root cutter. The Village used to own one many years ago. Public Works Superintendent Insko to get quotes and present to the Village Board.
K. Committee Meetings
Water & Sewer and Streets & Alleys: None
Public Safety and Parks & Buildings: Trustee Lorenz stated the Public Works Employees have done the fall maintenance at the parks.
Finance and Ordinance: None
L. Executive Session
None
M. Upcoming Meeting November 26, 2012 at 7:00 p.m.
With no further business the meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m. on a motion made by Trustee Long; seconded by Trustee Russell. The motion passed with six (6) “ayes”; zero (0) “nays".
